Prayer for Our Nation
St. Michael the Archangel defend us in battle. Be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host - by the Power of God - cast into hell, satan and all the evil spirits, who roam the world seeking the ruin of souls. Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Father- send your Holy Spirit to guide our nation. May your Holy Spirit dwell in the hearts and minds of your faithful and all who serve as leaders. Keep us faithful to your law, protect us in our trials, lead us to walk in your word and your love. Through the Virgin Mary, conceived without sin, may we be spared of all destruction and harm from without and within. Mary, Queen of Nations Deliver us. O, Sacred Heart of Jesus Have Mercy on Us. It made me understand that the material poverty was theirs and, in the spiritual world, I was the beggar!"
